Food Share is honored to have been recognized as a Central Coast Best Place to Work by the Pacific Coast Business Times for the second year in a row. The publication conducts an annual survey among employees in the Tri-Counties and then crunches the data to determine the best of the best.
During the height of the pandemic, Food Share created an employee engagement committee that continues to meet monthly, open to anyone who wishes to participate. The committee has implemented a number of popular programs, including employee family picnics, half-day Fridays, a revamped holiday schedule, corn hole tournaments, a bowling league, logo jackets, staff lunches, on-site car washes and an upgrade to the organization’s 403(b) program. “Taking the time to encourage our staff and volunteers, in person and through implementing activities that allow us to get together, have fun and appreciate everyone’s hard work is an important part of our organizational ethos,” commented Monica White, Food Share’s President & CEO. “It gives us a shared sense that we’re tackling the mission to ensure that no one goes hungry, together.”
