Bob Kinseth collects food for eight families in his community, including single mothers, elderly neighbors, and children who have recently lost a parent.

“Having access to this food makes their life a lot easier. It helps them get by, especially those on very limited budgets. It probably provides two or three meals that they wouldn’t otherwise have.”

Bob and his wife carefully distribute items based on dietary needs, making sure fresh fruits, meats, and gluten-free products reach those who need them most.

“A couple of older ladies tell us that having chicken for dinner a few nights a week really makes a difference. And the desserts are a small joy for the kids.”

He also wants the broader community to understand the scale of the need:

“I wish people would understand how many people are hurting in society today and how many are short on food. This program is helping a lot of people.”

Bob sees the pantry as a lifeline for those facing tough times:

“The biggest help that I see this pantry doing is supporting people who are having hard times, maybe they’ve just lost their job. It gives them a shot in the arm to get back on their feet and into a better place.”

To Food Share donors, he shares a heartfelt message:

“God bless you. I hope more people start donating, and those who do, if they can give more, it makes a tremendous difference. It’s helping a lot of families.”
