FAQs
What can I have engraved on my paver?
Pavers may be personalized with names, dates, messages of appreciation, memorial tributes, or dedications. All inscriptions are subject to review and approval by Food Share to ensure they align with community standards.
Can I dedicate a paver in honor or memory of someone?
Yes. Many supporters choose to recognize a loved one, celebrate a milestone, honor a family member, or commemorate a special occasion through a personalized paver.
How many characters can I include?
The number of characters depends on the paver size selected:

6” x 12” Paver: Up to 26 characters

12” x 12” Paver: Up to 84 characters

12” x 24” Paver: Up to 136 characters
Spaces and punctuation count as characters.
Can I include a business or organization name?
Yes. Businesses, organizations, foundations and community groups are welcome to purchase pavers and may include their name in the engraving.
Where will my paver be located?
Pavers will be installed in the designated entryway and walkway areas of Food Share’s new facility. Exact placement cannot be guaranteed, but every paver will become a permanent part of the welcoming experience for visitors and supporters.
Can I include a logo or graphic?
No, we only accept characters.
When will the pavers be installed?
Pavers will be installed as part of the construction of Food Share’s new facility. Purchasers will receive an update as installations are finalized.
Can I choose the exact location of my paver?
No. Pavers will be installed in accordance with the overall site design and construction plan. Specific placement requests cannot be accommodated.
Is my paver purchase tax-deductible?
Food Share is a nonprofit organization. The tax-deductible portion of your contribution will depend on the value of any goods or benefits received. Please consult your tax advisor regarding your specific situation.
Can I make changes to my inscription after submitting my order?
Changes may be made until the engraving order is finalized. Once production begins, inscriptions cannot be altered. We encourage donors to carefully review all text before submission.
What happens if there is a mistake on my paver?
If an error occurs during the engraving process that differs from the approved proof, Food Share will work with the manufacturer to correct it.
Will my paver remain in place permanently?
The intent is for all pavers to remain a permanent part of the new facility. However, Food Share reserves the right to relocate pavers if future construction, repairs, or site improvements require modifications.
How does my purchase help Food Share?
Every paver purchased supports Food Share’s Feeding Our Future Capital Campaign, helping build a new facility designed to increase food distribution capacity from 22 million pounds annually today to 40 million pounds by 2040. Your gift creates a lasting legacy while helping feed Ventura County families for generations to come.
