Taking place on Saturday\, May 11\, the event provides Ventura County residents with an easy way to donate food to food insecure friends neighbors who are being pushed to the limit by rising food\, gas\, and home rental costs.  \nOn Saturday\, May 11\, if you live in any of the following zip codes\, please fill either the branded bag provided by your mail carrier\, or a sturdy bag of your own\, with non-perishable\, shelf-stable pantry items and leave it by your mailbox no later than 8 am. \nWestlake Village 91361\nThousand Oaks 91360/ 91362\nNewbury Park 91320\nCamarillo 93010/ 93012/ 93066\nOxnard 93030/ 93033/ 93035/ 93036\nPort Hueneme 93041\nVentura 93001 / 93003 / 93004\nSimi Valley 93063 / 93065 \nThe most requested items are rice\, pasta\, beans\, canned proteins like chicken and tuna\, peanut butter\, and cereal.  \nPLEASE NO pre-prepared or fresh foods like bread or cooked chicken or any foods that need refrigeration\, and no items in glass!
