September is

HUNGER ACTION MONTH

Hunger Action Month is a nationwide call to action to bring awareness to the issues of hunger in America.

FOOD Share has been providing services to those who are hungry and food insecure for 30 years.

Our mission is to feed the hungry.

Now is a time, more than ever, when the number of individuals and families, children and seniors are in need of food and food banks are in need of resources to meet that rising need.

It is not just about the quantity of food, but the quality of food.

For families who are struggling to make ends meet, their resources are stretched and food is often the last choice they make.

So help us feed those who are hungry in Ventura County, helps us provide access to the quality and quantity of food that indivdiuals and families need.

For more information on how to give, contact Jeanne Benitez at jbenitez@foodshare.com or call 805-983-7100 x122

Food is one of life's basic needs, and every day more and more indivdiuals are fighting the battle of hunger, help us end that battle!

Join FOOD Share's efforts to advocate for legislative change and bring resources into our community.

We need your support, please write to our local legislators to encourage their involvement and heighten their awareness to the issues of hunger in our community:
